iMindQ

Assuming you already know what a mind map is, I am going to skip the intro and just tell you that iMindQ is a properly good tool for creating mind maps. This Seavus-developed application gives you all the tools you need to create impressive mind maps, mind maps you can use for personal, educational, or business purposes.

iMindQ is available for Windows as well as Mac OS X-powered desktop computers.
iMindQ is also available for iOS-powered mobile devices. And to be more precise, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch mobile devices.

iMindQ has a tabbed, ribbon interface. Open multiple projects and tabs for each of them will be displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the interface. By default, the ribbon is hidden out of sight. Bring it out of sight with a simple mouse click in the upper right hand corner of the interface.

By default, iMindQ loads a “welcome to iMindQ” project when you launch the application. This is quite handy. It is handy because it presents a sample of what can be done with the application – a ready-made mind map is presented right there on the interface. It is handy because the mind map focuses on the functionality iMindQ has to offer – it shows you how to access the built-in mind map templates, it tells you who can benefit from the functionality iMindQ has to offer, it presents a short list of the functionality iMindQ has to offer, it informs you that you can use iMindQ to create charts, flowcharts, and concept maps.

iMindQ is free to use for a trial period of 15 days. A prompt will show up whenever you launch iMindQ and remind you of this fact.
